Bowls
When designing a bowl, both the inside and outside must complement each other to achieve a complete design. Working out how the design can work with the shape of the bowl is a key part of the creative process.

Welcome to the website of Caroline Ingram Creative Enamels. Every piece is a one-off, fired several times in my kiln to build up layers of colour. I also take commissions.

See the bowlsEnamel panel pictures can be abstract or representational. I have enjoyed creating panels of horses, frogs, geckos and birds, and I have always been drawn to the sea.
See the panelsI fire each piece several times in an electric kiln at around 900–920°C. On a bowl, the layers of enamel slide over the firings and the colours may fuse to reveal further colour combinations, opalescence or golden colours.
